For the FPSO Armada Sterling V, Nauvata served as the Project Management Consultant (PMC) as part of the overall PMC scope for ONGC’s KG-DWN-98/2 deep-water development. The FPSO, owned by a joint venture between Shapoorji Pallonji Energy and Bumi Armada, was designed to operate in the cyclone-prone eastern offshore region of India. Nauvata’s scope included oversight and coordination of engineering, procurement, construction, integration, and commissioning activities related to the FPSO. This involved ensuring compliance with technical specifications, interface management with subsea and topside systems, reviewing engineering deliverables, monitoring timelines, and supporting pre-commissioning and readiness for operations. The FPSO has a processing capacity of 60,000 barrels of liquid and 3 MMSCMD of gas, and plays a critical role in augmenting India’s domestic oil and gas production from deep-water reserves.
