Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Lead or execute the structural design and analysis for onshore/offshore structures including platforms, modules, pipe racks, and equipment supports.
- Perform strength, stability, fatigue, and dynamic analysis using industry-standard software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, SACS, ANSYS, GT STRUDL).
- Design steel and reinforced concrete structures in accordance with international standards (AISC, API, Eurocode, BS, ISO).
- Generate and review structural deliverables: GA drawings, design reports, material take-offs, connection details, foundation plans.
- Oversee structural work across project phases: FEED, detailed design, procurement support, fabrication, construction, and installation.
- Coordinate with disciplines such as piping, mechanical, electrical, and process to integrate structural requirements.
- Conduct structural integrity assessments for brownfield modifications.
- Review vendor documents and fabrication drawings to ensure compliance with design and specifications.
Must-Have Skills:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Structural Engineering
- 10-15yrs of experience within the oil & gas or petrochemical industry.
- Strong expertise in offshore structure design (e.g., jackets, topsides, modules, riser supports).
- Proficiency in design and analysis software: STAAD Pro, SACS, SESAM, ANSYS, AutoCAD, Tekla.
- Knowledge of soil-structure interaction, pile design, and foundation systems for onshore and offshore structures.
- Familiarity with lifting, transport, and installation methods for offshore structures.
- Ability to lead a team of engineers and designers through all project phases.
- Effective communication and coordination with internal teams and external stakeholder.
