Scope of Work

The project scope includes Project Management Consultancy (PMC) and Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM) services for setting up a modern Marketing Terminal. Key facilities include finished hydrocarbon product receiving, storage and dispatch, truck loading gantries, vapor recovery unit, raw water and sewage treatment systems, control room and sub-station, and admin and planning buildings. The scope also involves design review and execution oversight for MS, HSD & ATF day tanks, automation works, fire-fighting systems, and infrastructure such as calibration sheds, loading/unloading sheds, and truck decanting areas.

NET’s Role

Provided comprehensive PMC services for the terminal facilities and utility systems. Delivered EPCM services including terminal automation and construction of new facilities at both sites. Conducted design reviews and managed interfaces for mechanical, electrical, civil, and instrumentation packages. Oversaw the installation of fire protection systems, utility sheds, and truck loading/decanting infrastructure. Participated in safety studies and SIL study, and supported the client in obtaining OISD and PESO approvals by actively participating in audits and compliance processes.

Given the dual-site nature of the project and its operational linkages, synchronization across Bangalore and Mangalore locations posed significant coordination and logistical challenges. NET’s expertise in terminal engineering and project integration enabled timely decision-making, seamless execution, and adherence to safety and quality standards. The team’s ability to manage both PMC and EPCM roles ensured efficiency from planning through commissioning, supporting MRPL’s vision of a fully automated and compliant marketing terminal.
