PIPELINE REPLACEMENT PROJECT – VIII (GROUP B)

Mumbai High (N&H Asset) and Bassein & Satellite (B&S Asset)

L&T Energy Hydrocarbon

Scope of Work

Nauvata Energy Transition Pvt. Ltd. (NET) is responsible for the complete Design, Engineering, Procurement, and Construction of the Pipeline Replacement Project – VIII (Group B), awarded by L&T Energy Hydrocarbon (LTEH).

The project involves the replacement of approximately 128.9 km of submarine pipelines across eight segments in the N&H and B&S Asset fields, including riser-to-riser and pig barrel-to-pig barrel replacements, as well as sectional upgrades.

NET’s scope includes modifications across 13 offshore platforms—comprising well fluid, lift gas, and water injection systems—along with associated subsea pipelines, laterals, tie-in spools, and risers. The work encompasses topside modifications and hook-ups with originating and terminating platform manifolds.

Nauvata has also undertaken end-to-end procurement, supply, fabrication, installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of all piping, instrumentation, and control systems. NET has been fully responsible for developing indicative P&IDs, identifying tie-in locations, engineering remote monitoring solutions, and producing critical documentation such as Cause & Effect (C&E) diagrams, SAFE charts, and hydraulic studies.

Furthermore, NET managed vendor engagement, reviewed technical submittals, and ensured compliance with quality and test documentation, reinforcing its integral role in delivering a safe, scalable, and operationally efficient system.

NET’s Role

Nauvata Energy Transition Pvt. Ltd. (NET) played a central and end-to-end role in the successful execution of the PRP-VIII (Group B) project. NET was fully responsible for the Design, Detailed Engineering, Procurement, and Construction phases, ensuring seamless integration of new pipeline segments with existing offshore infrastructure. NET developed all indicative P&IDs, identified critical tie-in locations, conducted remote monitoring planning, and formulated detailed engineering concepts, including Cause & Effect (C&E) charts, SAFE charts, design basis, and hydraulic studies using advanced simulation tools. On the procurement front, NET managed the sourcing of equipment, instruments, control systems, and special piping components, while also overseeing vendor evaluations, bid reviews, documentation compliance, and test certification. Additionally, NET ensured that all deck extensions, piping layouts, and instrumentation systems were optimized for safety, operational efficiency, and future scalability. From concept to commissioning, NET’s integrated approach and technical leadership were critical in driving the project’s timely and high-quality delivery.
